International Maritime Consultants has a broad range of experience in the marine industry.

Quality Assurance

IMC has held AS/NZS ISO 9001:2000 approval since 2003. This approval has been granted by BVQI Pty. Ltd. The approval covers the provision of naval architecture and marine engineering design, and management services.

New Vessels

IMC has experience in designing a diverse range of vessels including fishing vessels, offshore utility vessels, landing craft, barges of different types, research vessels and cargo vessels.

For new build projects International Maritime Consultants will customise a design to suit the owner's specific requirements. The preparation of preliminary design drawings and a vessel specification allows the owner to approach different yards for vessel build quotations. The owner is then able to compare the prices knowing that the yards are quoting on exactly the same vessel.

When a new build project materialises the IMC brief can include :

  • Conceptual Design
  • Feasibility and Design Studies
  • Cost Studies and Estimations
  • Preparation of Tender / Contract Documentation
  • Design Drawings (Hull, Structural, Engineering, Electrical and Fit-out)
  • Detail Design Drawings(3-Dimensional Engineering and Pipework)
  • Performance Prediction
  • Plan approval
  • NC cutting information
  • Construction Supervision
  • Owners Representation
  • Stability and Loading Manuals
  • Sea Trials
  • Project Cost Control for Lending Authorities
