International Maritime Consultants is based in Fremantle, Western Australia. Our business has been founded on establishing long-term relationships with our clients enabling us to draw upon our historical knowledge of specific projects and operations in order to provide optimal solutions. We have a track record of collaborating closely with our clients, ensuring that their expertise is incorporated during the design process.

IMC utilises the latest naval architectural, structural and mooring analysis software. Design documentation can be delivered electronically to clients world-wide.

The company operates within a quality management system in accordance with ISO 9001:2000, which is audited by Bureau Veritas. We also have extensive experience working with international Classification Societies and various Australian and overseas Statutory Authorities. Company operations are carried out within the framework of the company Health, Safety and Environment policy.

IMC has a staff of qualified naval architects, engineers and technicians with a wide range of skills and experience.

Robert Williams – Managing Director
Rob founded IMC in 1993 and has a wide range of experience in ship design and construction. Rob specialises in new vessel design, vessel conversion and repair, and project management.

Justin McPherson – Director – Naval Architect
Justin originally studied mechanical engineering and then worked in the oil and gas industry for eight years in both Australia and overseas. He then completed a Master’s degree in Naval Architecture and joined IMC in 2000. He is involved in the design of new vessels, vessel conversion, mooring analysis, vessel stability and motions analysis, and engineering consultancy.

Peter Bavich – Director – Engineering Manager
Peter joined IMC in 1995 and since then has been heavily involved in the majority of the projects that the company has undertaken. He specialises in vessel structural and systems design and mooring analysis.
